Connor Pani is available as his suspension does not start until the weekend. There are new no injury worries following Saturday's match.
What We're Saying
Despite the result, Michael Connor was positive about his side's display:
The luck has to turn at some point. We are super, super proud of the lads. Tom said it in the dressing room, that's a Blyth Spartans performance. I'm judged on results, end of. The results haven't been great but we're seeing a vast improvement in how we're playing. It does take time, but let's go on Tuesday, let's be positive and get a result. Every game is a cup final. We know what points we need and what we need to do. But our luck will turn - a referee will give us a decision eventually. You look at our first game at Warrington, that was never a pen, then again today. At some point we're going to get a bit of luck and things will turn.
Opposition
FC United of Manchester currently sit in 19th place with 18 points, however they picked up a vital 2-1 win at home to Mickleover on Saturday.
Noah Halford and Charlie Ennis scored for the home side, before 70th minute strike from Ryan Wilson threatened a comeback from Mickleover.
FC were also in European action last week as they travelled to face Prague Raptors in the first round second-leg of the Fenix Trophy. FC ran out 3-0 winners, sealing an 8-0 aggregate win and passage to the next round.
What They're Saying
After his side's win against Mickleover, FC boss Mark Beesley said":
We just needed to get over the line today. I thought at times we played some really good stuff. I think for the effort the lads have put in this week, they've been abroad and come back, to give us that performance, I've got to praise the character and will to win. It'll be a tough game. They have good footballers and they're similar to us, they'll be looking for a home win to kick start their season, so we need to make sure it's not against us.
Last Time We Met
The sides last met in September 2021 in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round. JJ O'Donnell put Spartans in front before a certain Cedric Main equalised in the second half for the visitors as the game finished 1-1.
The sides met again a few days later in the replay at Broadhurst Park, with a brace from Connor Thompson sealing a win for Spartans.
