Blyth Spartans v Hebburn Town | Tuesday, 13 August 2024 - 19:45 | League
Blyth Spartans return to Croft Park in the Northern Premier League as they host local rivals Hebburn Town on Tuesday night.
On Saturday, the Spartans played their opening day fixture away against Ashton United in a 2-2 draw as Nicky Deverdics' long-range effort opened the scoring. Ashton would score twice to lead before Michael Woods' late equaliser secured the Spartans a point for their efforts.
The two sides only met on Saturday, August 3, in our last pre-season friendly fixture at Hebburn Sports Ground in a 3-0 loss.

Team News
The only doubt for Tuesday night's fixture is Lucas Reed who missed Saturday's action with a knock that he picked up during pre-season.
New signing, Joel Holvey is available for selection and can potentially make his debut on Tuesday night.
What We're Saying
After a hard-earned point on the road, Nobby Solano said: "I'm delighted with the boys since the pre-season we talked about before was really tough.
"It's been very hard with a lot of bad belief and a lot of punishing and criticism about them, but today they deserve the best.
"You know they're working hard as a team and if we can improve and be better with the ball, especially in the final third, but I'm glad to have this result that will build the confidence for everyone in the team.
"And I'm pleased with the boys who have arrived at the club in the last week."

Opposition
Hebburn Town marked history on Saturday as they gained their first-ever step-three goal just before the midway point of the first half and that was enough to secure a historic first-ever three points in step-three during a 1-0 victory over Warrington Rylands at home.
Since we last faced Hebburn Town they have one new addition to their side in 18-year-old Bailey Adamson who joined following his departure from Lincoln United in the summer.
What They're Saying
Following their first game and win in the NPL Premier Division, Daniel Moore said: "I'm really proud of the lads, we had a plan and it worked.
"I thought we pressed them really well and I think over the 90 minutes we've dominated large spells of the game which against a really good side like that I'm proud of them.
"Everyone gave everything and it's just a shame we didn't score a few more."

Last Time We Met
The sides last met on August 3, 2024, where Hebburn Town won 3-0 through goals from Amar Purewal, Joe Walton and Jildo Da Silva.
However, previously two sides met in July 2021 in a pre-season friendly as the Hornets won 2-1 with goals in each half from Carl Taylor, Robbie Dale scored for the Spartans just after the second half had begun.
