What We're Saying
After suffering defeat against Hebburn Town, Michael Connor said: “We weren't competitive for around 65 or 70 minutes of the game.
"Let's just be honest about it, we've just had a heart-to-heart with the lads and I'm speechless with them.
"I think you come through the door at this great club, you have your own ideas, how you want to play, how to structure them, you get Doug to put great sessions on, you have Tom with that bit of experience alongside you and we are speechless in there.
"We have just said to them you need to have a meeting as players and you need to sort this out."
Opposition
Whitby Town currently sit 11th in the NPL Premier Division with 26 points gained from 22 matches.
In their last match, they were held to a goalless draw at home against Ilkeston Town, who sit fourth in the league table.
What They're Saying
Speaking after their goalless draw with Ilkeston Town, assistant manager Jason Kennedy said: “Obviously we got the clean sheet, there were a lot of great performances out there for the lads.
“We dug in, created chances, I think from being a little bit negative we probably should've taken our chances and been a bit more ruthless in the box, but overall it was definitely a performance that we can look to and build on.”
Last Time We Met
The sides met during pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 National League North campaign, where Whitby Town won 2-1 with goals from Harrison Beeden and Adam Gell.
