What We're Saying
After our comeback against Prescot Cables, Michael Connor said: “I'm disappointed, I'm being honest I'm disappointed.
“Tom summed it up in the dressing room, to not make a tackle, to not compete, to look like a shadow of a team again, it was like watching the first half against Matlock, forget about taking Pani out of it, we still had a good enough team to compete and we didn't.
“We had our heads down and it is not good enough for Blyth Spartans at all.”
Opposition
The Hornets currently sit in eighth position in the league standings, having won nine and drawn four of their 20 league matches this season.
Hebburn's last three league matches have all been played away from home and they have suffered defeat in all three matches. However, in their last game, they breezed past Easington Colliery to advance into the Durham Challenge Cup Semi-Final.
What They're Saying
Following their last league match against Bamber Bridge, Daniel Moore said: “It's a very weird one to say after a loss, but I'm really proud of that performance.
“We played the full game with 10 men, with Joe being sent off in the first minute and then being a goal down, and I think from there on they had the possession but in their own half and they've not really hurt us that much and we deserved the equaliser at half time.”
Last Time We Met
The sides have met twice this season, once in the NPL Premier Division and in a pre-season friendly at Hebburn Sports Ground.
In the league, at Croft Park, Hebburn won 1-0 through a second-half strike from Leo Robinson and in pre-season Hebburn won the match 3-0.
