What We're Saying

Following a brilliant second-half display, David Stockdale said: "When I say we are turning around with the culture and team spirit, we had everyone in and said a few words after the game and said a few truths.

"And I came in tonight and said I'm giving the lads a chance to review themselves and play for positions, that's what I said the other night.

"That was probably the most complete performance that we've done, we nullified what they had in the first half and then when we played and put our stuff together we were deadly."

Opposition

Mickleover Sports were transferred to the NPL Premier Division for this season having played in the Southern League Premier Division Central for the previous two years.

Currently, they sit 11th in the league standings having won three, drawn three and lost three of their nine games this campaign.

Most recently they suffered a 4-0 defeat at home to Worksop Town.

Last Time We Met

The Spartans have won all of the last five meetings between the sides, four times in the league and once in the FA Cup.

Our most recent meeting was in January 2017 in a dominating away match, where Blyth won 7-1, as Sean Reid scored a hat trick.
