Thursday, 15 May 2014

The Evo-Stik League have confirmed that the Football Association have approved the lineup for the Northern Premier League Premier Division for the new season. There will be some familiar faces to line up against Spartans as they look to build on last season's impressive campaign. The new teams include Workington, who knocked Spartans out of the FA Cup in the 2012/13 season after a replay at Borough Park, Tom Berj's late equaliser(pictured above) at Croft Park had earned Spartans that replay. Coming up from the NPL First Division are champions Curzon Ashton and Ramsbottom United, conquerors of Darlington in the play offs two weeks ago.

A restructure of the league sees Belper Town move from the First Division South and Spartans former Blue Square North opponents Corby Town who move from the Calor League Premier Division.
