Adam Wrightson insisted 'nothing changes' for Spartans as they seek a historic league finish and play-off place at home to Southport on Saturday.

Wrightson capped a century of Spartans appearances with a last minute winner away at FC United on Monday, after James Banister looked to have secured the hosts a point as he cancelled out Dan Maguire's opener three minutes from time.

Victory saw Spartans jump from eighth to sixth in the table as play-off rivals Bradford PA and Telford United failed to win, meaning the play-offs are now in Spartans' hands for the first time this season as they hold a one point advantage.

However, Wrightson dismissed the suggestion that the players would feel any pressure. "I don't think we change anything," said the forward. "We go into the last game full of confidence. Our lads have been great, we've been on a great run of form."

"We just go home, in front of hopefully a big crowd at Croft Park and just get another three points. That's all we can do."

Spartans are currently on a six match winning run that has seen them transform their season, and while they have needed a little help from elsewhere to gain ground, Wrightson insisted the focus was always just on themselves.

"We've just been concentrating on ourselves," said Wrightson, "taking each game as it comes every week, and if we get the job done that's all we can do."

Speaking about the goal that sparked wild celebrations amongst the away support, Wrightson added: "Obviously it was great to get my 100

th

appearance today and even better to mark it with a goal. On a personal note it was great for me but also for the club."

Victory over Southport on Saturday will see Spartans secure a play-off berth, as well as their highest ever league finish of sixth in National League North.
