The club can announce that central defender Callum Morris has left the club, to take up the opportunity to join the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain.
Morris, 20, joined the club in the summer following his release from Newcastle United and went onto make seven appearances for the Spartans (four starts and three substitute appearances).
The Glenn Hoddle Academy was set up to give footballers who had dropped out of the professional game a second chance as making it in the full time game. As part of the move Morris will no feature in the Spanish Fourth Division side for Jerez Industrial CF, where he will gain full time, senior football experience. It is the intention of the Academy that these players are then moved onto to full time clubs in either Spain or England.
The club would like to take the opportunity to thank Callum for his efforts at the club and wish him all the best in his future career.
