Thursday, 31 August 2017
Blyth Spartans have snapped up highly-rated youngster Jack Butler - after he impressed during pre-season with the club and in training with the reserve team.
The 17-year-old caught the eye of those at Croft Park while playing for New Hartley Juniors, before appearing for the first team in our pre-season friendly against Whitby Town.
With an eye for goal, the King Edward VI High School student has already represented England Schools at under-18 level last year.
Yet to make an appearance for the Spartans, he has been on the bench most recently when league leaders Harrogate Town came to Croft Park.
The youngster will ply his trade with Blyth Spartans Reserves in the Northern Alliance Division Two, but is also registered to play in the Vanarama National League North.
