Arrival | Langstaff joins on one-month loan from York

Thursday, 6 February 2020

Blyth Spartans are pleased to announce the loan signing of Macaulay Langstaff on a one-month loan from York City.

Langstaff is no stranger to Croft Park having made 17 appearances for Spartans in the 2016/17 season whilst on loan from Gateshead.

The forward has since appeared against Blyth in National League North during his one-and-half-seasons with the Minstermen.

Manager Lee Clark said: "I am delighted to get Macaulay on board.

"My relationship with Steve at York helped get this over the line, so my thanks goes to Steve for that.

"We obviously need to address the top of the pitch by creating chances and scoring goals etc and we believe Macauley will help us achieve that."

Langstaff could make his second Blyth debut when Clark takes his side to fourth place Chester on Saturday afternoon.

Spartans currently have six loan players, however with Scott Wilson set to miss the next couple of weeks through injury, the maximum number of five loan players in the match day squad can be met accordingly.
