Arrival | Mason joins on one-month loan
Friday, 2 August 2019
Blyth Spartans are pleased to announce the signing of Spennymoor Town defender Christopher Mason on a one-month loan deal.
The Moors club captain, 33, add bags of experience to Lee Clark's defence having made over 300 appearances for the National League North outfit.
Beginning his career with Darlington, the central defender has gone on to play for Bishop Auckland, Harrogate and Gateshead as well as a spell in Sweden with Ostavalls.
During his time with the County Durham side, Mason's honours include an FA Vase title in 2013 and playing a pivotal role in the Moors' rise from the Northern League.
Before being sidelined for almost a year with injury, Mason previously scored a last-minute goal against Blyth in a 3-2 defeat against Spenny on Boxing Day 2017.
Mason is available for selection ahead of tomorrow's National League North opener with Gloucester City at Croft Park.
