Blyth Spartans AFC is pleased to announce the loan signing of striker Dan Wilson from North Shields, subject to FA approval.

With the Northern League season suspended until further notice, we send our thanks to the Robins for allowing Wilson to move to Croft Park on a one-month deal.

Wilson has twice been signed by North Shields. Firstly from Dunston UTS in 2015 and Seaham Red Star last summer after a hugely successful two seasons.

This season, he holds an hugely impressive record of 15 goals in just 16 games.

Michael Nelson, manager of Blyth Spartans, extended our gratitude to North Shields.

He said: "I'd like to say a massive thank you to Marc Nash and the North Shields chairman for assisting us out with this one. Dan is someone we have been aware of for a few months now.

"Dan adds a physical presence to our attack. He scores a variety of different goals and is a proper number nine in terms of holding the ball up and bringing players into play.

"Hopefully, he can go back to North Shields in a rich vein of form and help them progress when their Northern League season resumes."

We also hope to announce a further two signings over the coming days.
