Badge Anniversary

Monday, 24 June 2013

It is 20 years since the club adopted its current badge.

Phil Castiaux, currently the club's Media Manager, worked alongside Dave Grey of Kimmerston Design to design the image.
Dave has been producing the certificates which are presented to sponsors on matchdays ever since then. Each year the design changes but remains based on the original logo.

Dave commented: "It was, and still is, a pleasure to work with Blyth Spartans AFC on something as high profile as their corporate image. The logo represents the club and has featured everywhere from the stands at Croft Park to the players' shirts, While the sponsors' certificates are just my small contribution to the club's on-going fundraising efforts, seeing the branding we created applied to everything from match programmes to supporters' scarves, and even on Ronnie Campbell MP's stationery, is always a joy."

A special adaptation of the image was designed to mark the club's centenary celebrations.
Phil said: "I can't thank Dave enough for all his efforts over the years. We have a logo which has stood the test of time and has indeed become iconic."
