TEAM NEWS

Away game number six is the long trip to Leicestershire to face current 16th placed Barwell at the Kirkby Sports Ground Stadium. On Monday night, a late Jonathyn Quinn equaliser against play off side Curzon Ashton saw Spartans continue thier unbeaten run extended to 7 games. Blyth have only ever played Barwell twice, both being last season affairs, the results ended 2-1 in Spartans' favour and a hoped for repeat will be on the minds of the players and management.

Robbie Dale has been on top form this season and is currently Spartans' top goalscorer in the league on five, closely followed by Dan Maguire, also on top form, with 4. With recent departures and recruitments, the back four has been forced to shuffle around and they have performed excellently, with Nathan Buddle at the heart. FA Cup hero Jarrett Rivers has taken off against Curzon early in the second half but will be hoping to start at the weekend.
