Bell to continue in physio role

There were many unique aspects to Blyth Spartans impressive 2014/15 season but surely possessing a player/physio must be right up there.
Chris Bell joined the club for a second spell at Croft Park in July 2014 and after the departure of Bev Dougherty the former Consett player took over the role of physio, seemingly bringing to an end his playing career.
However, injuries and unavailability thrust Bell back into the playing position as he produced an impressive second half showing in the 1-1 draw at Nantwich Town.
For now Bell wants to focus on his off-field role, but will still be registered as a player for the new season.
"I'm looking forward to my first full season as part of the management team with Tom and Lee. After a fantastic season last year we've set the bar really high and the prospect of building on that is very exciting"
