Blyth Spartans are delighted to confirm that Ben Fell has joined Blyth Spartans on loan from Gateshead subject to FA approval.
The 20-year-old joined The Heed in the summer but was loaned out to NPL Premier Division side Workington AFC where he has featured four times.
Before that, he was at Blyth Town under our new manager Michael Connor and Ben featured more than 100 times for Town. He picked up the Northern Football League Division Two Player of the Year award during their title-winning season. During his time there, the centre-back scored six goals and assisted 10. During his final season at Blyth Town he was awarded Management Player of the Year.
I'm delighted, I'm a local lad so I've got a lot of time for the club. Having worked with the manager before as soon as he called I was in. Can't wait to get going.
On signing Ben Fell Manager Michael Connor said:
I'm over the moon. A 6ft 5 centre-half who's great in the air. He also reads the game very well for his age. Player of the year in his second full season for Blyth Town shows what a talent he is.
Welcome to Blyth, Ben!
