MAN OF THE MATCH

Robert Dale

In a tight game at Croft Park which ended 1-0 to the visitors, Robert Dale did more than anyone in a green and white shirt in attempting to break the deadlock for his side. Dale swung in a dangerous corner to produce Blyth's best chance of the first half - with Carl Jones heading inches over from close range.

Dale then got on the end of a Joe Kendrick corner in the second period and was unfortunate to see his header clip the top of the crossbar and go over. Either side of these chances the crowd favourite flitted in and out of the game in typical style but still produced some moments of magic - albeit without the end product to match.
