MAN OF THE MATCH

Neal Hooks

After a slow start Hooks began to impose himself on the game midway through the opening period - most notably with a surging run and pass to find Lee Mason who fired over. He ran the midfield in the second period with a dominant display and scored Blyth's crucial second goal on 81 minutes.

Hooks was unlucky not to find himself on the score sheet earlier, with an exquisite free-kick that crashed off the underside of the crossbar but got his goal, courtesy of a delicate chip, which saw Blyth through to the 3rd qualifying round of the FA cup.
