Blyth Spartans v Chorley Programme Preview
Tuesday, 18 September 2012
Blyth Spartans supporters will be sure to give a big hand to one of Chorley's players this evening - as Ciaran Kilheeney returns to Croft Park.
On this ground in an FA Trophy Third Round tie back in 2011, Kilheeney turned keeper and
infamously escaped punishment for using his fist to knock Michael Tait's goal-bound header off the line
, before scoring a late equaliser to force a replay.
And, despite Blyth dishing out a 4-0 thumping in that replay, the Spartan Army will hope their side come out fighting tonight and can land a knockout blow on Kilheeney's new side, before the final whistle.
And - ahead of tonight's kick-off - be sure to pick up an official matchday programme, which is definitely punching above its weight with content.
As well as all of the regular columns from Tommy Cassidy, Ian Evans and Malcolm Stephenson, there is an extensive amount of information on our Lancashire-based vistors.
In the player interview, Shaun Vipond opens up about his devastating injury - coincidentally picked up against Droylsden last season - and his recovery to full fitness, as well as his competition in central midfield.
The 2012/13 squad photo is also included - as a centre-page pull-out - and there is also match action from our FA Cup match against Garforth Town and Saturday's trip to Matlock.
The programme costs £2 and will be available prior to kick-off at both turnstiles, as well as inside the Social Club and the Club Shop.
If you can't make the game, or indeed any other home fixture, you can order one - in advance of the game - from the Supporters' Club (however, please be aware that stocks are limited.)
