Blyth Spartans v Frickley Athletic Programme Preview
Friday, 26 October 2012
Spartans welcome Frickley to Croft Park this weekend, for their first meeting since Blyth pipped Athletic to the 2005/06 Unibond Premier League title.
Harry Dunn's side beat Frickley 1-0 at home that season, on their way to winning the league by three points - in addition to prevailing on penalties at Westfield Lane, in the Unibond Chairman's Cup Semi-final.
And Spartans will hope to better their 18th-placed opponents once again, when the two sides meet on Saturday afternoon (Kick-off 3pm.)
As is the case with every home fixture, be sure to pick up an official matchday programme for all of the pre-match info.
New caretaker assistant manager Tom Wade speaks exclusively to the programme about his "Honour" of being back at the club, his working relationship with Paddy Atkinson and on reaching 100 games for Blyth last weekend.
Paddy Atkinson talks through last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Rushall Olympic and
puts the record straight about some of his recent quotes in the local media.
Ian Evans and Malcolm Stephenson return with their regular columns and there's match action from last Saturday and our trip to Buxton a fortnight ago - as well as a spotlight on our visitors from West Yorkshire.
The programme costs £2 and will be available prior to kick-off at both turnstiles, as well as inside the Social Club and the Club Shop.
If you can't make the game, or indeed any other home fixture, you can order one - in advance of the game - from the Supporters' Club (however, please be aware that stocks are limited.)
