Blyth Spartans v Hednesford Town Programme Preview

Thursday, 23 August 2012

After a fantastic five against Stocksbridge Park Steels on Tuesday night, Spartans entertain Hednesford Town in the first of a Bank Holiday double-header.

Looking to add to a run of 14 home games unbeaten in the Northern Premier League - which stretches back to Boxing Day, 2005 and a 1-1 draw with Gateshead - Blyth welcome fourth-placed Town to Croft Park on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off.)

The game will see the two sides meet for the first time ever and the official matchday programme will be available to give you all the information on our visitors from Staffordshire.

Read all about Tuesday's 5-0 win in the match report of the game and see what Tommy Cassidy thought of that win,in a column where he also reveals how Spartans can turn Croft Park into a fortress this season.

Ian Evans talks about the success of the newly launched 50/50 draw and reveals the details of the club's fundraising initiative for Saturday's very special guest - and mascot for the game - Callum Brown and his Callum's Wish to Walk charity.

And, in another reference back to the treble-winning season of 2005/06, the latest Green and White Cult Heroes article reveals how forward Scott Bell realised a childhood dream by pulling on the famous Spartans' shirt for three seasons.

The programme costs £2 and will be available prior to kick off at both turnstiles, as well as inside the Social Club and the Club Shop.

If you can't make the game, or indeed any other home fixture, you can order one - in advance of the game - from the Supporters' Club (however, please be aware that stocks are limited.)
