Blyth Spartans v Nantwich Town Programme Preview
Friday, 23 November 2012
Blyth Spartans welcome Nantwich Town manager Jimmy Quinn back to Croft Park this weekend, hoping that he leaves as disappointed as he did on his last visit.
The former Northern Irish international was manager of League Two side AFC Bournemouth when they were paired with Spartans in the 2008/09 FA Cup Second Round draw.
After famously stating "(Blyth) have come here, they've done a job. They think they've won it - they haven't," following the 0-0 draw at Dean Court, Quinn could only watch from the away dugout as Spartans celebrated one of the best nights in their recent history - with a 1-0 win in the replay.
And Spartans will be looking for a repeat against Quinn's new side this weekend, despite Town's impressive away form of six wins and one draw from nine games.
Ahead of Saturday's 3pm kick-off, the official matchday programme will be available for anyone wanting to catch up on recent developments within the club.
Paddy Atkinson discusses Blyth's exit for this season's Northumberland Senior Cup, while Ian Evans explains the process of fixture re-arrangements and apologises for some of the recent changes.
Match action from both Senior Cup Quarter-final ties and last weekend's league meeting with Eastwood are included, along with all of the information on our Cheshire-based visitors.
The programme costs £2 and will be available prior to kick-off at both turnstiles, as well as inside the Social Club and the Club Shop.
If you can't make the game, or indeed any other home fixture, you can order one - in advance of the game - from the Supporters' Club (however, please be aware that stocks are limited.)
