Blyth Spartans v Workington Programme Preview
Friday, 21 September 2012
Tommy Cassidy will be looking to knock former club Workington out of this season's FA Cup, when the Cumbrian side travel to Croft Park this weekend.
And the former Northern Ireland international will be hoping for a better result than the two he endured at the start of his Spartans tenure - as the Borough Park side did the double over Cassidy's side last season.
Playing a team in a higher league is always a daunting aspect, but if there's one thing Blyth Spartans are known for, it's causing an upset in the FA Cup!
And, as normal, any fans going to this FA Cup Second Qualifying Round tie can pick up an official match day programme before the game.
Ex-Workington defender Joe Kendrick gives us an exclusive interview, in which he discusses the time he spent with this weekend's opponents. Kendrick also reveals why he believes the attacking prowess of the Spartan Trinity can see Blyth into the next round and also reveals why he is happy to be vice-captain, behind Wayne Buchanan.
All of the regular columns return, along with all of the information on our visitors and match action from Tuesday's game against Chorley.
The programme costs £2 and will be available prior to kick-off at both turnstiles, as well as inside the Social Club and the Club Shop.
If you can't make the game, or indeed any other home fixture, you can order one - in advance of the game - from the Supporters' Club (however, please be aware that stocks are limited.)
