TEAM NEWS

Spartans' second remaining home game sees title pushers FC United of Manchester visit Croft Park in a eagerly awaited fixture for both sides. Both sides are on cracking runs, with the last time either side lost back in late February. Blyth are pushing for play offs, United are pushing for the title so the pressure will be on both sides, meaning an entertaining game for all. Blyth featured in an away draw at Matlock mid-week without goalscorer Dan Maguire who was injured. A couple other members of the squad missed the tie due to injuries or work commitments but they should hopefully be available again on Saturday.

A win for Spartans could see them move above Skelmersdale if they lose and goal differences change. A win for FC United could see them go top, if other results go their way. The season is starting to come to a close and it is getting even more exciting game by game. With FC United predicted to bring a large number of supporters up on the weekend, the game and the atmosphere should be electric!
