TEAM NEWS
Spartans recorded their first away win of the season on the weekend at Halesowen and our opponents also picked up their first 3 points of the season with a win against Ramsbottom. Tuesday night will see the large supported FC United come for their 3rd visit to Croft Park and will be hoping for a repeat result, after gaining 3 points of both previous occasions. But Spartans have started the season strong and will be hoping a larger crowd will spur on the side to a hopeful victory, pushing us higher towards to play off positions.
New signing Jordan Watson could make his home debut after playing the full 90 minutes at Halesowen and received many praise from the management and media team for his role in the victory and fitting straight into the back four, after only joining on Friday. Ryan Hutchinson came on and scored the winner for Blyth on Saturday and will be hoping that his performance will give him the nod from Tom Wade for a starting position on Tuesday night. Peter Jefferies also returned in goal on Saturday and will be expected to keep his place as the Spartans number 1. Arran Wearmouth also came into the starting 11, ahead of winger Jarrett Rivers, who dropped to the bench.
