TEAM NEWS

The string of hard games are listing up for Tom Wade's side as we welcome 2nd placed Nantwich Town to Croft Park. Having scored 15 goals in the first 4 games, keeping a solid defense is going to be critical against our opposition, but with the joint best defensive record in the league so far, a tough test for Nantwich awaits. A solid 2-0 win at Ashton United midweek boosted Spartans to the top of the league and an already 3 point gap breathing space but it's no means the graft and effort is to slow.

A win over The Dappers hasn't always been something that comes around so often, in fact Blyth have only beaten Saturday's opponents once before, last season at home, 2-1. But Nantwich are on the same ship having only ever record 1 victory over us, back in May 2013, also 2-1. 4 draws have also been recorded between the sides, no matter the stats and figures, everybody knows that the game is going to be great and test both sides limits to the maximum.

In the four games Blyth have played, and won, we have listed 5 goal scorers, with Dan Maguire and Robbie Dale collecting 2 each. Goals from Ste Turnbull, Michael Richardson and Matty Wade have added up the remaining. All the players will be looking to add themselves to the list or boost them to the top goalscorer marker.

IN THE AWAY DUG OUT

Phil Parkinson - took charge of Nantwich Town in early February 2015.

DANGER MAN

Matt Bell - joined in the summer from Kidsgrove, has scored 3 goals in 4 games for The Dabbers.
