Buddle delight at becoming a Spartan

Blyth Spartans can announce they have completed their tenth signing of the summer with the addition of former Hartlepool United man Nathan Buddle. The Amble born defender put pen to paper at Croft Park tonight prior to the home friendly against Morpeth Town and immediately revealed he was "delighted" to have finally signed for the club.
"I'm delighted to finally get over the line, I've really enjoyed the last six weeks. We have a great group of lads here and some great players so we can hopefully have a great season."
Buddle has impressed in a number of positions at the back during his trial period featuring mainly at right back but also looking confident at centre back and the nineteen year old paid tribute to the part Spartans manager Tom Wade played in attracting him to the club.
"From day one Tom has been keen to get me on board and Spartans was always going to be my first option thanks to him. No other club really came into mind after Tom spoke to me"
Wade himself was "over the moon" to have finally completed the signing of Buddle and is looking forward to the headache both he and assistant manager Colin Myers will have when it comes to picking a back four.
"I'm over the moon to have got him in and we have some very strong defenders to chose from. There's probably six or seven lads now who can play at the back for us and it's something we know we needed to improve on from last season."
