Club Statement: A thank you to our supporters

Firstly, a heartfelt and huge thank you to each and every fan, all 1406 that turned up and supported our Club on Saturday - our first home match was always going to be an important event for you and us.

We've said it before and we will say it again; this is the fans' club and we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. The atmosphere at Croft Park on Saturday was electric and we need to harness that going forward.

An equally big thank you to every volunteer that gave their time in the run up to Saturday and who continue to give their time and commitment to making the club what it is: too many to mention but without you, we couldn't operate.

We have, of course, all seen and heard first hand your feedback following our defeat to Matlock. We are as disappointed as you; we are all fans first and foremost. But we also want reassure our club, fans, and community, and indeed Michael and Tom. We don't underestimate, or shy away, from the amount of work there is to do to get the team and the club back to where we should be: showing the passion, fight and determination expected from a Spartan. Michael and Tom have already been able to make some key changes to start that journey and they know they have our full backing and commitment going forward.

Never has it been more important to encourage the fans and supporters ongoing support. As a Board we are committed to making the club a success but that can only be done with you; we are in it for the long run and hope you are too.

We have our next home match on Tuesday 26th November and would love to see you at Croft Park again.
