COVID19 | National League suspension

Monday, 16 March 2020

Blyth Spartans AFC has issued the following statement after the National League suspended fixtures until April 3 following the outbreak of coronavirus.

The decision to suspend the league is not unexpected and brings the National League in line with the Premier League and EFL.

There will be serious implications for clubs, such as the reduction in income from match days and the cancellation of matches.

There are a number of important decisions to be made about how this season will end, but for the time being the safety and wellbeing of supporters, players and staff is paramount.
