Club Statement | Positive Coronavirus test
Friday, 18 September 2020
Blyth Spartans AFC can confirm an individual at the club has tested positive for coronavirus.
The individual was present at training on Tuesday evening but missed Thursday's session due to feeling unwell.
They have since tested positive for coronavirus, meaning all staff and players present at training on Tuesday must self isolate for 14 days from now, under government rules.
Subsequently, this means Saturday's arranged friendly at Hartlepool United has been postponed.
We are due to kick-off our season on Saturday, October 3, which just falls outside the 14 days self isolation period.
In the meantime, we will continue to monitor the situation.
