Club taking pre-orders on commemorative Cup run DVD
Thursday, 1 October 2015
Blyth Spartans are delighted to announce that they will be release a commemorative DVD of the historic FA Cup run we embarked on in the 2014/15.
The two-hour production, produced in association with Community Foundation, includes interviews and features with all of the key figures inside Croft Park including manager Tom Wade, chairman Tony Platten and two of the players who scored big goals in the run, Robbie Dale and Stephen Turnbull.
All of the action is captured, from the First Qualifying Round draw at Darlington, all of the way to the brave exit at the hands of SkyBet Championship club Birmingham City.
And no game is missed out either!
There are goals, chances and reaction to the games against Skelmersdale United, Mickleover Sports, Leek Town, Altrincham and of course the never-to-be forgotten win live on BBC Match of the Day at Hartlepool United.
This is a must buy for not only Spartans supporters but any football fan, as they can relive one of the most remarkable and eventful FA Cup runs of all time.
The cost of the DVD has been set at
£10.00
.
The club are currently taking pre-orders via email to Ian Evans at
or by calling into the office on Match Day or between 9.30am and 11.30am on weekdays.
Also the club can announce that the first fifty orders will recieve special limited edition versions of the DVD at no extra cost.
Evans praised the club's Programme Editor Matt Riggs, who had the painstaking but obviously enjoyable task of putting it together, all in his own time and done free of charge, which makes the final production even more special.
"On the production of the DVD I have to say that Matt has a talent, a talent that Ridley Scott would be envious of.
The content is more than you would expect. Yes, we have the goals and yes, we have the near misses but this film shows the pride and the passion within our players, management and of course, our supporters"
And manager Tom Wade echoed those thoughts.
"Watching it back was very emotional. I was tense watching the Hartlepool United section and I knew what was going to happen!
It is a great DVD, not just for the football fans in Blyth but for the people of Blyth, hopefully we made you all proud"
So to arrange your copy of the DVD email Ian Evans now at
or call into the office to secure your little piece of a historic run for the club.
Distribution of the DVDs is expected to begin towards the end of October, making this an ideal Christmas present for an Spartans supporter.
Matt has also produced a trailer of the DVD, which can be viewed below:
