Davis agrees Spartans stay

Spartans have further boosted their squad for the 2014/15 season with the news that Ash Davis has committed to the club for another year.
Now in his second spell with Spartans, Davis was originally brought to Croft Park from Whitby Town at the start of the 2012/13 season by former manager Tommy Cassidy. He left for Northern League side Whtiley Bay in September 2012, three days after coming off the bench to score a brace for Spartans in a 3-1 win at Matlock Town.
The striker returned from Hillheads for a second spell at the club in October last year. In total he has five goals in his twenty three appearances for the club, the last one coming in the Northumberland Senior Cup Semi Final win over Ashington.
Manager Tom Wade said "It's good to have Ash on board again. He is a strong player with plenty of power and pace and he gives us a further option up front. It means that in Dan Maguire, Dan Hawkins and Ash we have three very different strikers and good competition there"
