Dean Briggs joins the Spartans

Blyth Spartans are pleased to announce that Dean Briggs has joined the club from Bishop Auckland.
The 28-year-old winger joined Auckland in the summer after a stint at Hebburn Town, where he helped guide them to the Northern Premier League - East Division.
Prior to joining the Hornets, Briggs was also a key part of Ashington's promotion during the 2022/23 season and spent over three years at the Colliers.
Briggs has also enjoyed time with Gateshead, Consett and Australian sides, Peninsula Power and Holland Park Hawks during his career.
On his arrival at Croft Park, Dean said:
As soon as I heard Micky was interested it was a no-brainer. Obviously Blyth are a big club and I'm just very excited to get going.
Dean Briggs will be available for selection for tonight's match against FC United of Manchester.
