Departure | Mark Foden joins Hebburn Town
Monday, 9 December 2019
Blyth Spartans can confirm Mark Foden has left the club to join Northern League Division One side Hebburn Town.
Foden, 23, moved to Croft Park in the summer from Gateshead and established himself in between the sticks once the first six games had passed.
However, following the arrival of Middlesbrough loanee Zach Hemming, Foden had dropped out of the starting 11 in recent weeks.
In total, he made 13 appearances for Spartans - including four clean sheets which followed twice against Curzon Ashton, Heaton Stannington and Farsley Celtic.
"We thanks Mark for all his efforts while with us and I wish him all the best for the future," said manager Lee Clark.
"I brought Zak Hemming in and although we have conceded 11 goals in 4 games. none of them have been down to him. He has been outstanding and has done so well we could let Mark go."
The club thank Mark for his hard work during his time at Croft Park and wish him all the very best at his new club.
