MINUTES OF THE EXECUTIVE MEETING ON MONDAY 21st June 2010.

1. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING.
a) The minutes of the last meeting (07.06.10) were approved.
2. MATTERS ARISING.
a) Typo error on item 2b date for match should be 13th July not June
b) No further transport quotes have been received
c) Transport to new friendly against Hamilton on 1st August requires consideration. Since the meeting it has been confirmed that this game will behind closed doors and further discussions are required.
3. CORRESPONDENCE.
a) A letter will be sent to Gordon Young thanking him for his time on the exec. Committee.
b) Duties previous carried out by GY will be re-allocated.
4.SOCIAL CLUB
a) The accounts for the year end to May 2010 have been completed and show a reduction in turnover of £60,000 and a loss of £12,000. The reduced turnover reflects the general downturn in pubs and clubs in Blyth
b) A range of cost saving measure were achieved in the year meaning the loss was not as bad as it could have been. Further efforts are continuing to return the Club to profit.
c) The situation with Carlsberg is still be addressed.
d) TV adverts for local companies using the new TVs in the sports bar are to be considered.
e) Developments with Sky broadcasts will be considered during July.
5.ANY OTHER BUSINESS.
a) Refurbishments to the dressing room tiling are in hand but could be more extensive that thought
b) A special match sponsorship rate for the friendly matches is available, contact Ian Evans for details.
c) A Facebook link for the Football Club and Social Club is being modified by two supporters.
d) The Football Club website is being redesigned including a screen for advertising local companies.
e) Players food will be served in the Social Club after home matches with a "roped off" area being established to ensure a degree of privacy whilst they are consuming it.
d) There is one home friendly game where all of the social club has been booked for a large wedding. It is regretted that the Social Club bar will close after half time for that match only.
e) The Club AGM has been arranged for Thursday 12th August

Monday 5th July @ 6 PM. Subject to details of the League Preseason SGM at Rushden & Diamonds on the same day which will be attended by ARP and IE
