FA Trophy Draw Pits Spartans Against Altrincham Once More
Monday, 14 November 2016
Blyth Spartans have been handed an away trip to Altrincham in the Buildbase FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round.
Alun Armstrong's side will travel to Moss Lane to take on the Vanarama National League North side on Saturday November 26, which means the club's Evo-Stik Premier League fixture against Skelmesdale United will now be re-arranged.
Blyth will hope to fair better against the Robins than their Emirates FA Cup conquerors Morpeth Town, who bowed out to Jim Harvey's men in the next round. Spartans will take heart from the last meeting between the two sides though - as braces from both Daniel Maguire and captain Robert Dale secured a 4-1 win at Croft Park in the Emirates FA Cup First Round back in 2014/15.
