Fair play to Blyth…
Thursday, 30 April 2015
The club has received this season's Evo-Stik Premier Division Fair Play Award.
The award will be presented to Chairman Tony Platten at the League Presentation Evening on 22nd June. The award also comes with a cheque to the value of £1500.
Spartans manager Tom Wade commented: "This is a fantastic award to win and is much deserved by the players. They have been under so much pressure, especially in the run in to the end of the season, but they have maintained their discipline. When the pressure is on it's easy for players to 'lose it' but they've shown great character and have been mentally very strong. They've played the game the right way and with a huge amount of commitment and drive."
The runners up in the Premier Division were Matlock and Stourbridge while Newcastle Town were deemed to be the best fair play side across all three NPL divisions.
