Monday, 17 May 2021
Blyth Spartans AFC supports fundraising to transform the gateway entrance to Ridley Park.
A group of volunteers at Friends of Ridley Park (FORP) have fundraised and added a number of additional items to the park. This includes:
- Bird screens
- Tree tails
- Basketball hoops
- Water drink fountains
- Accessible roundabout
- Ridley bust
- Specimen tries
FORP have now started a project to enhance the entrance to Ridley Park, which is likely to cost in the region of £50,000.
They are inviting people to sign up to EasyFundraising and Amazon Smile and have recently registered with the organisation One Lottery where people can buy tickets to support FORP.
You can follow their project on Facebook and Twitter.
Tony Platten, chairman of Blyth Spartans AFC, said: "We support any projects that match our own ambition to enhance the standing and regeneration of our town."
