Horner leaves for Caley
Friday, 8 August 2014
Spartans midfielder Lewis Horner has signed for Scottish Premier League side Inverness Caledonian Thistle, in a move that sees him move North of the Border for the second time in his career.
Horner - who began his career with Hibernian and had a loan spell at East Stirling - had been on trial with the Jags and has now signed a contract with the club.
Since joining Spartans from Newcastle Benfield last summer Horner made a big impact. Making his debut in a defeat at eventual Evo-Stik Northern Premier League champions Chorley in September he went on to score his first and only goal for the club at Ashton United in January.
His dynamic style of play in the centre of the park earned him a call up to the England C Representative Squad in March and he also won the Port of Blyth Player of the Month award for November 2013.
Everyone at Spartans wishes Lewis the very best of luck with Caley.
