Blyth Spartans' latest signing Levi Amantchi is pleased to be back in the North East and hopes to help Lee Clark's side climb the National League North table.
The former Wallsend Boys Club man joined on loan from Chesterfield on Friday before being handed his debut less than 24 hours later.
The 18-year-old impressed on his first outing - leaving the field to a standing ovation after helping Spartans earn a point against Kidderminster Harriers.
"I thought it was a good debut all of the boys were good," said Amanthci. "And I thought that in the first half we should have had a few goals.
"Second half I thought we started a bit slow, but we stuck together, and in the end, we got a good point."
"It is good to be back home, and I just want to see what I can do for the team and get some confidence."
Amantchi, who made 11 National League appearances for Chesterfield last season, also revealed how a move to Croft Park came to light.
"I spoke to Lee before I came here, and he was full of praise for me; he just told me to get my head down and work hard for the team."
