Interview | Peter Jeffries on his return to Croft Park

Monday, 16 May 2016

Goalkeeper Peter Jeffries has been speaking following his return to Croft Park following a spell with Consett.

"I'm really, really happy to be back," he said. "On social media the fans seemed to have welcomed my return and my Dad is delighted. He loves the place! Croft Park has a great feel to it, the fans are fantastic and the whole place is top drawer.

"I didn't get to any Blyth games last season but I did keep up to date with things via Spartans TV. I'm looking forward to playing at that higher level again. The basics for a keeper are the same but playing against better players is always a test but then again you have better players in front of you too.

"I just want to see us doing as well as possible next season, plus a good FA Cup run would be nice, but I shouldn't be greedy after our run a couple of years ago!"
