The club can announce that winger Jarrett Rivers has signed for Blackpool FC.
The former Middlesbrough and Whitley Bay player has left Croft Park for an undisclosed fee. The deal includes a sell on clause as well as the League One club travelling to take on the Spartans in a pre-season friendly on 14th July.
Blyth manager Tom Wade said: "Jarrett has been an absolute pleasure to deal with since joining us last season. He struggled to get into the side at first but he went on to establish himself as a regular in the team.
"He's a great guy and has been outstanding for us. It's a fantastic opportunity for him to get in to professional football. As the Northern Premier League Young Player of the Year for last season Blackpool are getting an extremely skilful player. No doubt about it, Jarrett is one of the brightest young talents around.
"Everyone at Blyth Spartans thanks him for his time with us and wishes him all the very best for the future!"
Jarrett commented:"I'd like to thank Tom [Wade] for giving me the chance to play at Evo-Stik level as well as all the backroom staff, players and fans at Croft Park. Everyone has given me so much support at Blyth! It's been great and I will take with me so many memories that will last forever. I wish the whole club the best of luck for the future."
