The club can announce that forward Daniel Maguire has put pen to paper on a contract at Blyth Spartans.

The 20-year-old has been a revelation since his move from Seaton Delaval at the start of last season and he has become a real fans favourite at Croft Park, with his goal scoring, inventive forward play and hard running style.

Manager Tom Wade was delighted that Maguire had committed to the Spartans "It was a big step up for Nipa last season, but he took it in his stride and has kept on improving ever since. He has exactly the type of attitude that I like in my players and I'm delighted that he's signed the deal that the club has offered him. He's still only 20 and has a big future ahead of him and we want that to be at Croft Park."

The forward was also pleased with his new deal "I love it at Blyth, everyone at the club has been great with me since I joined the Spartans, so I'm delighted that this has all been sorted out. We have had a strong start to the season and I am hoping that we can kick on from here and make it into a really great one."
