Marine(h) Match Preview
Friday, 31 August 2012
After Monday's late show at Whitby Town that saw Spartans win their second game of the season, Marine travel to Croft Park tomorrow(Saturday) looking to maintain one of only three 100% records in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League. With four wins from four games and only one goal conceded, Marine will provide Tommy Cassidy's side with their toughest test of the season.
The Spartans manager should have a fully fit squad to choose from with midfielder Tom Berj hoping to return from the foot injury sustained in the 5-0 win over Stocksbridge Park Steels last time out at Croft Park. Striker Phil Airey will be looking to maintain his scoring run after scoring in each of Spartans' last two games and Robbie Dale will be hoping to celebrate his Player of the Month award by keeping up his goal a game record this season with his four goals in four games.
Marine travel to Croft Park in buoyant mood following wins over Eastwood Town, Buxton, Frickley Athletic and Chorley so far this term. Striker Marcus Carver is in top form and have five goals in the first four games with fellow frontmen Andy Fowler and Nick Rogan pitching in with two each.
