TEAM NEWS
Blyth are back on the road as we chase down a win in the FA Trophy, with the opposition being league rivals Matlock Town. With Spartans scheduled to welcome the Gladiators to Croft Park in early December for a league fixture, a chance to get one over them in the cup would be a welcome bonus.
After last Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Skelmersdale United, a bounce back will be on the minds of Tom Wade and the players as they go hunting for a place in Monday's draw of the FA Trophy, when the National League sides join the competition. Blyth's last trip to Matlock ended as a 1-1 draw, and if a repeat occurrence was to take place, a repay back at Croft Park would settle the decision of who progresses.
