Media | Brand new 'Radio Blyth Live' service will combine commentary and content for next season

Thursday, 7 July 2016

Spartans fans unable to make it to Croft Park for the upcoming season will once again be spared the pain of missing out on the action, with live commentary for all home games and, hopefully, a good number of away fixtures promised via internet radio.

The same old voice of Ryan Gray can be heard on brand spanking new equipment, alongside several of the club's insightful Media Team members, via the new 'Radio Blyth Live' service, which will be broadcasting on mixlr.com/blythspartans.

Ryan commented: "This service also hopes to provide listeners with extra content throughout the season, including interviews with players and management staff, to help fans remain in touch with the club all the way through the imminent campaign and allows listeners to communicate directly with the Media Team via its online chat function.

"Listening figures grew steadily throughout last season and the club would like to thank those who regularly tuned in to hear the commentary. Hopes are high for another entertaining season and the Media Team look forward to broadcasting to listeners once again, as they look to ensure that the new service will prove to be successful.

"Furthermore, new facilities and equipment hope to eradicate the technical problems that occasionally disrupted the airwaves last season, and will provide listeners with an exhilarating and entertaining service.

"The club is very excited about this new opportunity and all in the Media Team cannot wait to keep the loyal supporters informed of the goings on at Croft Park by providing them with even more content via this new interactive platform."
