Media | New Programme Editor announced
Friday, 8 July 2016
The club is delighted to announce that the new Match Day Programme Editor, and Media Team member, is 29-year-old Alastair Ross.
Ally will also contribute to other areas of the Team's work.
Ally said; "I was lucky to get involved with radio coverage of Blyth games last season, so to become part of the Spartans family on another platform is something I am very excited about."
Ally completed his MA in Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland. He became a Blyth fan last year, attending regularly and working alongside radio commentator Ryan Gray.
Growing up in York, he is also an avid York City fan and is said to welcome the prospects of positive results at Croft Park (a concept foreign as of late to his home town club).
Ally continued: "The aim this season has to be promotion. With the talent Tom Wade has retained and brought in, I am confident that it can be achieved."
Ally's favourite Spartan is Wilson Kneeshaw and his professional aspiration is to one day interview Jose Mourinho.
Spartans' Media Manager Phil Castiaux said: "Previous Editor Matt Riggs, who moved to a full-time job with West Ham, is a hard act to follow but I'm confident that Ally is the man for the job. He is an experienced journalist who will add massively to the Team's output both in terms of quantity and quality."
