Miss Northumberland Models New Spartans Kit
Sunday, 14 August 2011
Laura Hickey modelled the Blyth Spartans home and away kits for the 2011/2012 season, which are now available from the club shop.
Laura, from Wooler, was crowned as the first Miss Northumberland in June by a panel of four Judges at Linden Hall, Longhorsley and as part of the prize has received a year's modelling contract.
She said: "I didn't expect to win, it was a total shock and I just want to make the most of the year now."
Laura is currently studying Osteopathy at Leeds Met University and made her first visit to Croft Park for the official photo shoot of the new Spartans strip.
She said: "I like the strip a lot, particularly the home shirt because the green colour is really vibrant.
"I generally follow rugby more than football but I am hoping to get to Croft Park for a game later on in the season which will be something to look forward to."
Sales via the club's online shop will commence soon, so keep your eyes on the official website for more information.
