Nathan Haslam joins Management setup

Tuesday, 24 December 2024

Blyth Spartans are pleased to confirm the appointment of Nathan Haslam as Head Coach, who will work alongside First-Team Manager Michael Connor.

Haslam's most recent role was manager of fellow Northern Premier League side, Whitby Town. During his time there he guided the club to the First Round proper of the FA Cup, the first time the Seasiders had reached that stage in 20 years, as well as winning last season's North Riding Senior Cup.

Haslam joined Whitby in summer 2020, initially as first-team coach, before stepping up to the role as joint-manager alongside Lee Bullock in the September. Two years later, Bullock resigned, leaving Haslam in sole charge until his departure earlier this season.

Prior to joining Whitby, Haslam enjoyed spells at Bishop Auckland, Marske United and Whitley Bay.

On Joining Spartans Nathan said

I'm delighted to be joining. It's a big challenge but I wouldn't be coming in if I didn't think we could move this forward. The aim is to stay in this league and we need to all work together to do that. We want to give the fans something to be proud of and something to cheer

Manager Michael Connor said

Since I came in I've looked for someone to come in full time to work alongside me. After a phone call and meeting on Thursday I believe I've found the right person to help move the club in the right direction. I believe Nathan is perfect for the role and look forward to working with him

Welcome to Croft Park Nathan
