New Programme Editor
Saturday, 31 May 2014
The club is pleased to announce that a new matchday Programme Editor has been appointed.
The Spartans' Media Manager Phil Castiaux said: "We are delighted to have Matt Riggs joining the Media Team. Matt is a very talented journalist with great enthusiasm and he is full of creative ideas."
Matt is a 19-year-old student from Hertfordshire, studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland. He writes for the university's website, SportsByte, and covers a variety of sports across the city. His primary interest, though, lies in football and as well as being a keen spectator, he plays for the University side.
Matt has many new and fresh ideas in place for the matchday Programme, and is excited to begin his work with Spartans.
He said: "I'm very pleased to be joining Blyth Spartans' Media Team and I'm now eager for the new season to begin.
"Joining the club as Programme Editor offers immense opportunity for me, and I'm looking forward to continuing Adam Sancaster's great work.
"I'm certainly looking to progress the Programme and move it forward, and I hope my fresh plans will offer plenty of entertainment for readers next season.
"As well as working with the Programme, I'm keen to possibly get involved with the BSAFCTV team and many other areas of the club's media.
"I'm excited to get started straight away, and look forward to seeing many of you in and around the club in the near future."
